Exosome Therapy

Treatment

Exosomes are tiny extracellular vesicles naturally released by cells. In aesthetics, professional exosome-based serums are applied topically—often paired with micro-needling or laser—to help support the skin barrier, calm visible redness, and improve overall skin quality

  • Signal carriers: Exosomes contain lipids, peptides, and growth-factor–like messengers that can support cell-to-cell communication.
  • Barrier & calm: When delivered through fresh micro-channels (e.g., micro-needling/RF needling) or post-laser, they can help reduce the appearance of redness, support barrier repair, and improve hydration.

Skin (face/neck/chest/hands)

  • Compromised or sensitised skin barrier
  • Post-procedure redness/visible irritation
  • Dullness, rough texture, fine lines appearance
  • Dehydration and uneven tone look
  • Time: 30–60 minutes (depending on area and whether combined with energy-based treatments)
  • Sensation: Mild tingling or warmth; usually well tolerated
  • Downtime: Typically low; transient redness 1–72 hours (varies with paired procedure)
  • Plan: Commonly a series of 3–4 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart; maintenance as advised

Results: Gradual improvements in skin comfort, smoothness and radiance; individual responses vary

FAQs

No. At Prime we use topical, cosmetic-grade exosome serums. They are not stem cells and are not prescription medicines.

They are different options. PRP uses your own blood components; exosome serums are professionally formulated topicals. Many patients use them together or sequentially—your clinician will recommend the best pathway.
